Don't look for a white Christmas in the Imperial Valley.
No snow is in the forecast for the Valley from the National Weather Service ( NWS ) but there is the strong possibility of rain. A weather system moving through the region Monday into Tuesday morning could bring a 50% chance of rain Monday and Monday night with a 20% chance of precipitation Tuesday. Christmas Day should be mostly sunny with a high in the mid-60's. Clouds return Wednesday night and Thursday again shows a 50% chance of rain with a high near 58. Skies will begin to clear into the weekend. There is a chance of snow in the higher elevations.
