(Veterans Day)…A day to honor military Veterans, past and present.
Schools are closed, as are most government non emergency offices and agencies. Morning services were held at cemeteries around the county. At 11:00 the Vietnam and Global Veteran of Foreign Wars is hosting a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial at Bucklin Park in El Centro, that will include a remembrance of the late Larry Ternes. The 6th Annual Veterans Day Parade was held in Holtville. Holtville is also holding their Farmers Market and street Fair in Holt park until 2:00 this afternoon.
