(3 injured in boating collision)….One of the boats belonged to the US Border Patrol.
The incident occurred on the Colorado River Sunday evening. Yuma County Sheriff’s office is investigating. Investigators say the collision occurred on the River at the Clear Lake Inlet. The Border Patrol vessel was patrolling the Colorado River. No injuries were reported on that vessel. The second boat was a private vessel with seven on board. Three of those were injured and transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center for treatment. One of those injured was transported to Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. There condition is listed as stable but critical. Officials say the cause of the incident is under investigation. They say it does not appear alcohol was a factor in the collision.
