(19 year old arrested at East Port)…The arrest was made Wednesday.
They man entered the port driving a Jeep Liberty. The vehicle and driver were referred to the secondary inspection area. An X-ray inspection of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of anomalies in the vehicles gas tank. Customs and Border Protection officers removed over 39 pounds of methamphetamine from the gas tank. The 19 year old driver was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations Agents. The man was processed and booked into Imperial County Jail
