(Body found in the Ash Canal)….It was discovered Wednesday night, near Barbara Worth and McCabe Roads.
The County Coroner’s Office has identified the body as that of 31 year old Martin Armando Lomeli of Holtville. Officials say there were no signs of foul play found on the body. An autopsy will be performed in an attempt to determine the cause of death. The Coroner’s office said they will also try to determine how long the body had been in the canal. It was initially discovered by an employee of the Imperial Irrigation District.
