(Fatal injury collision still under investigation)….The collision occurred on September 21st at 10:54 in the morning.
Calexico Police investigated. They say the multi-vehicle collision occurred aft6er a Chevy Trailblazer, northbound on Highway 111, went out of control near Cole Road. The vehicle traveled into the center median and catapulted into the southbound lanes of the Highway, colliding with three other vehicles. The Trailblazer landed on its roof. Officials say the 45 year old driver, a Calexico resident, suffered fatal injuries. Two passengers in the other vehicles were transported to the hospital for treatment. Police say one of the passengers succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Police are not releasing any names, as the investigation is on-going.
