(This is Suicide Prevention Week)…The Board of Supervisors adopted the proclamation Tuesday.

The proclamation makes it possible for the county to join the rest of the nation in recognizing the week as Suicide Prevention Week and provides the opportunity to inform the community about warning signs and how best to help those most in need. Behavioral Health Services will use the special week to share resources and stories, as well as promote suicide prevention awareness. They will host and coordinate a number of events in local schools and at their Wellness Center, conduct outreach activities targeting local retail stores, and provide learning opportunities for education and other community agencies.
