A Yuma man and woman died when their motorcycle was struck by a car.

According to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office , the Italika T-125 motorcycle was eastbound on County 17th Street with no lights shortly after 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Upon entering the intersection with Highway 95 the motorcycle was struck by a car that was northbound on Highway 95. The driver and a passenger on the motorcycle were thrown from the bike on impact. The driver landed on the roadway and was subsequently run over by another car. The driver was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The woman passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
