A traffic stop led El Centro Police to methamphetamine.
Shortly after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday , an ECPD officer made a traffic stop on a 2018 Honda Civic in the area of Dogwood and Main Streets. A search of the car led to the discovery of approximately 23 pounds of methamphetamine concealed in various areas of the vehicle including a child safety seat. The driver of the car , 29-year old Vanessa D. Reyna-Galaviz of El Centro , was arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail.
