(Brush fire affects thousands)…The 3 Alarm fire was reported at Dixieland, near Seeley Friday.
Fire Departments from around the County assisted in rapidly bringing the fire under control. It burned mostly brush and one abandoned structure. There were no evacuations. The biggest damage came from the ATT&T fiber optic lines that were compromised by the fire. The lines had to be replaced and that affected internet and cell phone service to many in the Valley. The lines were replaced and service restored at around 8:00 Saturday morning. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
