(Aggravated sex offender arrested)….The 36 year old was taken into custody over the weekend.
Border Patrol agents working the Calexico Station observed the man suspected of entering the US illegally, about 12 miles east of Calexico. Agents arrested the man and transported him to the Calexico station for immigration and criminal history screening. The man was identified as Gregorio Neri-Basilio, a Mexican National. He had been convicted of 3 counts of sexual abuse of a child in 2004 out of Utah County, Utah. He had been sentenced to 12 months in prison. In 2005 he was deported as an aggravated felon. The 36 year old is being held in federal custody pending further criminal prosecution.
