(Excessive Heat Warning continues)….The National Weather service says the heat wave will continue.
The Excessive Heat Warning is in effect until Thursday afternoon. Temperatures will range from 110 to 115 until then. It is recommended residents, especially the elderly, locate a Cool Center in their area, if they are going out doors this week. A list of Cool Centers is available from the Public Health Department. Those who work outside or plan to be outside, should dress in light, loose fitting clothes. Take breaks in the shade, and take breaks often. Stay hydrated by drinking fluids, such as water, fruit juice etc. Those living near the elderly or handicapped should check on their neighbors periodically to ensure they are all right.
