(County Budget workshops)…There will be two in August.
County staff has been meeting with Department heads to discuss trimming the proposed budget. On August 20th and 27th the County Board of Supervisors will hold budget workshops to discuss the various proposals to trim the spending plan. The proposed county budget was presented to the board recently. It was $18 million higher than the current budget. The board has said that was unacceptable. The Supervisors are set to approve a balanced budget on September 10th.
