The Imperial County Department of Public Works has closed Ogilby Road.
Flash floods with several of the normally dry washes running across the roadway has caused the closure from Interstate 8 to Highway 78. The closure will remain in effect at least through Wednesday morning. Heavy rains and strong wind gusts have been reported along the Colorado River valley.
