(Suspicious object)…It was found in the parking lot at Main Street and Imperial Avenue Wednesday morning.
El Centro Police were called at 10:55 am. Officers found what looked like a purple suitcase. They called in the Imperial County Fire Department Arson and Bomb Unit. The suitcase was examined and then the special unit hit it with a water jet. The suitcase was found to be empty. Cameras are installed in the parking lot, but officials say they need to contact their corporate office before video can be viewed to possibly identify who left the suitcase in the parking lot.
