(Excessive heat continues)…The National Weather Service has extended the Warning.

The Excessive Heat Warning is now in effect until Tuesday evening. Temperatures are expected to be between 110 to 115 degrees. The Weather Service says residents going outdoors should be aware there is a high and an extreme risk of heat related illness Monday and Tuesday. Know where the nearest Cool Center is located before going out. Wear light and loose fitting clothes. Drink plenty of liquids, mostly water. Avoid Caffeine, alcohol and sugary drinks. If you work outdoors, taking frequent breaks in the shade and stay hydrated. Keep an eye out for children and the elderly. Stay in touch with friends and family. Never leave children or pets in a vehicle alone for any amount of time for any reason.
