CalFire crews are battling a stubborn brush fire along the U.S./Mexico border in eastern San Diego County.

The fire broke out late Friday morning and then moved across the border into the U.S. As of early Saturday CalFire reported that the fire had burned over 100 acres in the U.S. and more than 600 acres in Mexico. A total of 60 personnel are involved on the U.S. side of the border along with several bulldozers and 2 helicopters. No structures are threatened and no evacuations have been ordered. Containment of the fire is expected by Sunday afternoon.
