(ICOE Appoints a new Safety and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator)…Alvaro Ramirez will also ensure the safety of the ICOE facilities and programs.

The Imperial County Office of Education recently appointed Ramirez to the important position. He currently serves as Executive Commander for the El Centro Police Department. Doctor Todd Finnell, County Superintendent of Schools, said he could not think of a better person to lead their efforts. Ramirez will ensure the safety of ICOE  facilities and programs, coordinate safety and emergency preparedness among school districts, law enforcement and other agencies throughout the County. Finnell said the schools and programs need to be safe environments for staff and students, and being prepared for any disaster or threat is a critical priority of all concerned. Ramirez begins his new job on July 23rd.
