(Meth seized, 9 arrested)…It was in 3 separate incidents.
Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents were working checkpoints at Highway 78 and Highway 95 Tuesday. At just before three in the afternoon they discovered 4 illegal migrants from Mexico in a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was a permanent legal resident from Panama. All five were taken into custody. At just after 7:00 pm a Chevy Cruze with 3 occupants was searched. Agents found all three occupants had packages of methamphetamine wrapped to their torsos.. At 9:40 pm, agents searched a Toyota and found over 26 pounds of meth. The seized narcotics in both incidents had an estimated value of $94,000.
