Literally. Thursday is Independence Day, and Freedom Fest 2019. The annual event is again being underwritten by FM 107.5, in conjunction with the Imperial Chamber of Commerce, Imperial Valley College and hundreds of volunteers. Once again the event will be held on the campus of Imperial Valley College. The vendors will open at 6:00 pm. The free fireworks show, synchronized to music on FM 107.5, will begin at 9:30 pm. Traditionally the largest single day event in Imperial County. Crowds of over 50,000 in and around IVC are expected to witness the spectacular fireworks show this year. Keep in mind there are some no-no’s for the event. No Pets, No BBQ’s, No Personal fireworks, No Drones, No Alcohol and No Firearms.
