(County Tentative budget)…It was presented to the Board of Supervisors.
They were not happy. The tentative spending plan for the next fiscal year comes in at $498 million. That is $18 million higher than the current budget. The General fund is reported at $218.2 million, with revenues anticipated at $210 million. The Board said that is not acceptable. Several meetings budget meetings will be held with Department heads and staff to try and find ways to reduce the deficit. The final budget is scheduled to go before the Supervisors on September 10th.
