(County Board of Supervisors)…They will make a special presentation Tuesday.
The Board meets Tuesday afternoon. They will begin their meeting by presenting the highest award the County has to offer. They will present the Medal of Merit and adopt a resolution honoring Andy Ruiz Jr., the Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World. Ruiz became the first heavyweight champion of the World of Mexican decent on June 1st in New York. Ruiz has already been on national television, in several major sports magazines, and attended a special meeting with the President of Mexico. On June 22nd there will be a parade and rally honoring the native of the City of Imperial. The Supervisors presentation is expected around 10:20 Tuesday morning.
