(IID Board honors Energy Consumers Advocate)….Gil Perez passed away last month.
This month the Imperial Irrigation District Board of Directors paid tribute to Gil Perez, a founding members of the IID’s Energy Consumer’s Advisory Committee. Perez continued to represent energy consumers until his unexpected death at 84. He was an original appointed member of the IID’s Power Consumer Advisory Group, known today as the ECAC, which was established in 1994 at Perez’s urging. He was also the first to serve as the Power Consumer Advisory Committee’s Chairperson. A resolution of tribute, Honoring Gil Perez was presented to his family during the recent Board Meeting.
