(Smoke in the air, again)…..And again, it may be from a fire in the mountains
. A layer of smoke settled over the Valley Wednesday evening and lingered into Thursday. County Fire Chief Tony Rouhotas said the smoke was probably coming from a fire in Mexico. The Chief used his power of deduction, saying that had to be it, because there were no fires in Imperial County Wednesday night or Thursday morning. The fire south of Tecate, Mexico has been burning since Tuesday, when it caused the same problem to communities in San Diego County. An apparent shift in the wind brought the smoke to Imperial County.
