(Film Commission says it has been a very good year)….And it is not over yet.

Imperial County Film Commissioner Charla Teeters gave the Board of Supervisors an update on filming activity in the Imperial County. She said so far this fiscal year there have been 71 projects filmed in Imperial County, with an Estimated Economic Impact of over $3 million. The latest project was the Sony production of Jumanji, starring Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and more. Teeters said Jumanji crews have been in the County a few times, and are expected to return once or twice more. The estimated economic impact from Jumanji, alone, is over $1.125 million. The projects filmed in Imperial County include films, commercials, music videos, and even still fashion shoots. She said with a couple months left in the fiscal year, it could get even better.
