(Another convicted sex offender arrested)…The latest arrest was reported Wednesday morning.
El Centro Border Patrol agents observed a man suspected of illegally entering the United States about 17 miles west of the Calexico West Port of Entry. Agents responded to the location and arrested the man. He was transported to the El Centro Station. A records check identified the man as 30 year old Bernardo Sanchez Perea, a Mexican National. It also determined the man had a conviction for sex with a minor three years or younger in 2010 out of Washington State. He served 15 months in jail and deported in 2011. Sanchez is being held pending further prosecution. So far this fiscal year.
