(2019 Imperial Valley Energy Summit)…The 3 day event begins Wednesday.
This year’s Summit is being held at Imperial Valley College. It is hosted by the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation. This is the 12th annual Energy Summit. Each year, the conference rounds up notable speakers and industry leaders from the state capital, nationwide corporations and regional stakeholders. It is a key conference for industry growth in Imperial Valley. Keynote Speakers this year will be Jonathon Weisgall from Berkshire Hathaway Energy and Commissioner Karen Douglas from the California Energy6 Commission. Hector Castro Vizcarra will be the keynote speaker at the banquet Thursday at Pioneers Museum. Friday there will be tours at Imperial Irrigation District’s Drop 2, Battery Energy Storage System, El Centro Energy Generating System and a Geothermal Plant. A Golf outing at the Del Rio Country Club will wrap up the Summit Friday afternoon
