(2019 Imperial Valley Energy Summit)…It is hosted by the Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation.
The 3-day event is being held this year at Imperial Valley College. The event starts Wednesday, April 24th. The theme this year is Clean Energy and Technology. The keynote speakers will be Jonathan Weisgall, vice president of Legislative and Regulatory affairs for Berkshire Hathaway Energy, and Commissioner Karen Douglas with the California Energy Commission. Topics include Water, Legislation, Clean Energy and Renewables, Geothermal and Minerals, Clean Energy Technologies, Energy Storage, Solar, Modern Agriculture and New Crops, Hemp and Manufacturing, Algae and Bio-fuels, Communications and Smart Cities, and Foreign Trade and the Cali Baja Region. Registration to attend is available by calling IVEDC. You can also register the day of each event. Friday there will be tours and a golf outing at the Del Rio Country Club.
