U.S Customs and Border Protection officers at the Andrade port of entry found 128 pounds of methamphetamine worth over $200,000 hidden in an SUV.

The incident occurred Friday evening when a 48-year old woman , a U.S. citizen from Yuma , attempted to cross the border. Accompanying the woman were her 20-year old and 5-year daughters. The vehicle was referred to secondary inspection where a detector dog alerted to the SUV. A search led to the discovery of the meth stashed inside the rear seats , cargo area , quarter panels and spare tire. The driver and the 20-year old were turned over to Homeland Security Investigations and then booked into Imperial County Jail. The 5-year old was turned over to Child Protective Services.
