(Four-alarm fire in Calexico)….It was reported Wednesday morning.
The blaze was at a two story abandoned building in the 300 block of Rockwood. El Centro, Holtville, County, NAF and Centinela Prison fire departments assisted the Calexico department in the effort to extinguish the fire. They were successful in keeping the fire from spreading. The abandoned building however is now uninhabitable. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Reports are that homeless people had been living in the building before the fire was reported. Officials say nobody was in the building at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported.
