(Vehicle fire)…It is a mystery. The fire was discovered at just before mid-night Wednesday.
It was found on Highway 86, on the side of the road, near Hoskins. Fire crews blocked the Highway lanes as they attempted to extinguish the fire. The California Highway Patrol says the vehicle appears to have been abandoned, and had no tires. The roadway was re-opened at 2:40 Thursday morning. An investigation is underway to determine who owned the vehicle and how the fire started.
