(Today is a county holiday)…It is Cesar Chavez Day in Imperial County.
The County Board of Supervisors recently adopted a resolution declaring April 1st as the day to recognize the late civil rights leader’s Birthday. Cesar Chavez was born on March 31, 1927, and most of the celebrating was over the weekend. Today all County offices and agency are closed, except for emergency service. Anyone with an emergency should call 911. All County hotlines remain in operation. County services will return with normal business hours on Tuesday
