(Ground Breaking)…The ceremony was held Tuesday morning.

It begins the construction on the new 6500 square foot short term crisis residential treatment facility in El Centro. Jackson House El Centro, being built at 2364 South 2nd Street, will provide treatment as a continuation of or an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization in a home-0like environment. Plans are to open the facility September 1st of this year. It will offer Behavioral Health treatment for those struggling with mental illness and co-occurring addictive disorders. Participating in the groundbreaking event were officials from Imperial county Behavioral Health Services, the County Board of Supervisors, local community leaders and other stakeholders.
