An Escondido grower has recalled whole avocados because of a possible health risk.

Henry Avocado Growers is voluntarily recalling California-grown whole avocados sold in bulk at retail stores because they have the potential to be contaminated with Lysteria monocytogenes. There are no reports of illness associated with the avocados. The recalled fruit - California-grown conventional and organic avocadoes- were distributed in California , Arizona , Florida , New Hampshire , North Carolina and Wisconsin. The conventional avocados have a Bravocado sticker. The organic avocados do not have the Bravocado label on the sticker. Instead they are labeled " organic " and include " California " on the sticker. Consumers are urged not to eat the affected avocados but should discard them or return them to the place of purchase.
