(Rape suspect in court)…Brandon Antonio Young was in the Brawley Superior Court this week.

It was a pre-trial conference. The defense attorney asked the court to reduce the bail for his client. The prosecuting attorney, Assistant District Attorney Debra Owen rejected the defense request. The Judge agreed with the prosecution, on the grounds that Young Currently presents a public safety risk due to his conduct and the nature of his charges. He is being charged with several sex crimes, including rape and possession of child pornography. Bail remains at $250,000. A preliminary hearing was set for April 2nd in the Brawley Court.
