(Calexico request denied, for now)….The City of Calexico had filed legal action against the Santo Tomas Swap meet.
The action requested an emergency shutdown of the swap meet, claiming there were numerous hazards in violation to city code, and swap meet officials have not fixed any of the problems. The Superior Court Judge Tuesday agreed with the City’s concerns, but questioned why they had not acted sooner. He denied the emergency shut down, and continued the case until March 13th.
