(Fatal injury collision in San Diego)…The victim has been identified only as a 21 year old Calexico resident.
The collision was reported at just after 1:00 Monday afternoon. The vehicle was southbound on Interstate 5 near Imperial Avenue, when it swerved into the center divider, colliding with a disabled truck. The California Highway Patrol says the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle. Emergency medical personnel performed emergency measures, but the man died at the scene. The CHP is asking that anyone with any information on the incident to contact their San Diego office.
