(California Food Benefits)….They will be issued on a single day, March 1st.
This is to address the gap caused by the government shutdown. The Western Center on Law and Poverty and the California Association of Food Banks continue to monitor the confusion caused by the shutdown. The California Department of Social Services has announced that all March CalFresh benefits will be issued on a single day, March 1st. Benefits would normally be staggered between March 1-10. CalFresh households should know that benefits may come early, but are not additional. The Department plans to issue April benefits on the normal schedule, between April 1-10.
