(Two arrested following a traffic stop)…It happened late last week.
The vehicle was stopped on northbound Highway 111 and Harris Road. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of an undetermined amount of narcotics. The occupants of the vehicle, 33 year old Miguel Serna of Calexico and 38 year old Hilda Escobar of Calipatria were placed under arrest. They were booked into County Jail, charged with suspicion of transporting or selling a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of drugs for sale and transportation of a controlled substance. Their bail was set at $2 million.
