(Mardi Gras in El Centro)…Events are rapidly approaching.
On January 17th the Ci9ty of El Centro and El Centro Chamber of Commerce will present the Mardi Gras 2019 Coronation Ceremony and mixer, honoring King Dr. Adolphe Edward and Queen Betty Tucker. It will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the El Centro City Hall Courtyard on Main Street in El Centro. The Mardi Gras Light Parade and Street Festival will be held Saturday February 23rd. Parade entry forms will be accepted through February 19th. The Light Parade and Street Festival is an annual signature event for the City of El Centro with its traditional themed colors of purple, green and gold. Applications for several categories are being accepted, including Floats, commercial/business, bands, Baton, marching, drill teams, Equestrian Groups, cars, individual and car clubs.
