Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen visited Yuma Saturday , the second stop on a tour of the U.S. / Mexico border.

The DHS Secretary's visit followed the deaths of two children who died in government custody. During her border stops Secretary Nielsen said that the deaths are " deeply concerning and heartbreaking ". She said that migrants will now receive more thorough health screenings. In a press release she added that " the system is clearly overwhelmed ".

In Washington , President Trump blamed Democrats for the deaths and once again threatened to shut down the border.
