The National Weather Service says we could get some freezing temperatures.
According to the NWS , colder air will continue to spill into the Desert Southwest behind a low pressure system drifting across the region. Temperatures well below normal are expected through Sunday with a brief respite Monday and Tuesday and then another push of cold air Wednesday and Thursday. Highs will be in the 50's to low 60's in the Imperial and Yuma Valleys with overnight lows in the low to mid-30's. Freezing temperatures are possible in low lying areas. The NWS warns of possible damage to crops and sensitive plants , and will be hazardous to pets and persons with out proper protection ( such as the homeless ). Temperatures will return to near normal by next Friday.
