(Over a pound of Black Tar Heroin seized)….It was found in a woman’s bra.
The 45 year old woman had driven a 2001 Nissan Altima into the Highway 86 Border Patrol Checkpoint. There was a 29 year old male passenger in the vehicle. El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents were working the checkpoint. They say a canine detection team alerted to the vehicle and it was sent to the secondary inspection area for further inspection. A more detailed search revealed a package in the driver’s bra. It tested positive for black tar heroin. The package weighed 1.13 pounds with an estimated street value of $10,170. The driver of the vehicle and her passenger were placed under arrest and turned over to the Border Crime Suppression Team for further investigation. Neither suspect was identified.
