(A Very Festive weekend is upon us)…It starts Thursday evening.
The City of Calexico is holding their Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony. It is being held at the Calexico City Hall and will include music and concession stands. It starts at 5:30 pm. Friday is the City of El Centro’s Christmas Tree Lighting and Street Fair. It will be held at 11th and Main Streets, beginning at 5:00 pm. The event includes a visit from Santa Claus, music, booths, entertainment and more. The Naval Air Facility’s 21st Annual Holiday Light Parade will also be held Friday. It starts at 7:00 pm on the base. It is recommended the public arrive early to get a good parking spot and a decent viewing spot. Saturday will be the 73rd Annual El Centro Christmas Parade. It starts at 10:00 am. The theme this year is The Elf on the Shelf.
