The Imperial Irrigation District has dispatched crews to help rebuild infrastructure damaged by the devastating Northern California wildfires.
Late Monday , three IID energy construction crews and one IID emergency response team headed to Paradise , California. The local district crews are expected to be on the job for 14 - 18 days and " do whatever is needed ," according to Tim Dickerson , energy construction and maintenance superintendent for the IID's La Quinta division. In total , the IID is sending a team of 17 that includes energy line construction crews , emergency responders and a mechanic. The IID has a mutual aid agreement with Pacific Gas and Electric the utility that made the request.
