(US Citizen arrested over the weekend)…She is suspected of attempting to smuggle Methamphetamine across the Border.
The woman was driving a Ford sedan. The 18 year old was referred to the secondary inspection area at the San Luis Port following an alert by a Customs and Border Protection narcotics detection canine. Officers searched the vehicle and discovered 90 packages of meth inside the vehicles bumper. The narcotics weighed 99 pounds and were valued at nearly $297,000. The woman was turned over to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations. CBP seized the narcotics and the vehicle.
