(County updating Ambulance ordinance and EMS System)….County Public Health says the Ordinance is outdated.
They say the Emergency Medical Services system has experienced significant changes in the past two years. Tuesday the local Health Department asked the Board of Supervisors to approve a contract for Consultant Services with the Abaris Group. The contract is not to exceed $27,500. The Group will help update the Ambulance ordinance, as well as the EMS System. Imperial County Public Health Director Robin Hodgkin said an updated Ambulance Ordinance would allow for an increased number of bids to provide ambulance service to the County. The Board unanimously to approve the contract with the Consulting Group.
