Officials say the 22-year-old Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipient was driving a gray Kia Optima when he entered the Highway 86 Checkpoint. The 22 year old was referred to the secondary inspection area. During the more detailed search a Border Patrol canine team alerted to the vehicle. The search centered on the trunk of the vehicle, where agents found 14 vacuum sealed packages containing methamphetamine. The packages weighed 17.14 pounds, with a street value of $34,284.
