(Two elderly women injured in collision)…It was reported Wednesday afternoon.
No names have been released. The California Highway Patrol says a 75 year old was driving the vehicle southbound on Hovely Road. She stopped at the intersection with Highway 78. The CHP says the woman then proceeded into the intersection, directly into the path of an eastbound semi. The semi collided with the right side of the vehicle. The driver and her 66-year-old passenger were transported to Pioneers Memorial Hospital for treatment of lacerations and complaints of pain. The driver of the semi was not injured. The Highway Patrol says they are continuing to investigate the collision.
