(Emergency Landing)…It happened at the Yuma County Fairgrounds
. Yuma County Fire received the call of the emergency landing at just after 10:00 Monday morning. Emergency personnel from the Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma Fire, and Yuma Police all responded to the call. They found a small civilian plane had come down short of the airport runway. The plane had landed in the fairgrounds parking lot. The pilot was the only occupant, and was able to get out of the plane uninjured. The Fire Department remained on scene as the plane was removed from the fairgrounds and taken to the airport.
